Organic Kagoshima Hojicha is made from a mixture of roasted twigs, stems, and sencha leaves that are harvested during the first harvest period in spring. Hojicha from the first harvest has superior taste and aroma to the more common later harvest organic hojicha teas. This organic hojicha has a great aroma, pleasing roasted flavor, and is clean to the taste. JAS certified and delicious Kagoshima hojicha!

First Harvest? Yes (100%) Harvest Year 2010 Brewing Suggestion In a large Japanese teapot: Place 10-15g of tea into the teapot. Pour about 1 liter of hot water into the teapot. Leave to infuse for 1-2 minutes and serve. Allow to cool slightly before drinking. In a small Japanese teapot: Place 6g of tea into the teapot. Pour about 180ml/6oz of 80-90°C water into the teapot.
