The leaves smell like hay and broiled peanuts and nut oil.
first infusion: Used 1 tablespoon tea and 3 oz of water with initially 185f water after it has cooled for 4 minutes. Brewed the tea for two minutes. Nosing the brewed tea reminds me of hardboiled eggs. Tasting it there is an initial dose of sweet umami, then hay, and then jasmine.
second infusion: Used 6 oz of water at same temperature. The astringent jasmine tastes dominates in the beginning and then hay and then a hint of umami. |
