Very clear, very smooth, and very good! Tenryu Misakubo is quite a change from the mid and deep steamed senchas. I find this light-steamed sencha to be just as enjoyable but in a different way. It is also relatively easy to brew but still necessary to make sure the water temp isn't too high. The tea is not as green as a fukamashi because the leaves are unbroken and lacking in tea dust. They are also very well formed. Overall, a very light, relaxing, and refreshing tea. 5 stars! |

This is supernaturally high quality tea. For those who are finicky about whole leaves, this is the tea for you. There is a clarity in the color that makes you think this tea may be weaker for some reason, dead wrong.
starts off with an incredibly flowery entrance followed by the deepest umami that coats your mouth lingering into a kale flavored finish. All flavors are very prominent and there is an aftertaste for a short moment, but then it's gone and finishes completely clean. handpicked, you can tell there was love put into this tea. |
