What is powdered sencha?
Powdered sencha or sencha powder, both meaning the same thing, is made from ground down sencha leaves. The quality of the sencha leaves determines how good the powder will be in terms of flavor, aroma and nutritional content. Powdered sencha is rich in many nutrients including carotene, catechins, vitamins and fiber. Being ground down into powder form enables you to easily digest all of these nutrients. Sencha powder can be used to make hot tea and cold tea. Furthermore, it can be used in desserts and cooking in such things as bread, cookies, ice cream, cakes, puddings and just about anything else you can dream of. It is easier to handle then Matcha because it doesn't need a whisk to prepare it.
