David B. - 06/27/2010 Although I prefer storing tea in cherry-wood caddies, they cost about $65 more than these Washi tins, which are a great deal at only $6. They are much higher quality than I expected. There's even a notch in the lid that aligns with a similar one on the body so the washi-paper pattern lines up perfectly. I'll use the cherry-wood caddies for sencha and these for Houjicha, Karigane, etc. They may not hold the full 100 grams of some teas, especially those with stems, but should be fine to hold 100 grams of sencha or gyokuro, as the product description states. These canisters are a steal at this price. |
