Each canister is designed to hold 100g (3.53oz) of loose leaf tea such as sencha or gyokuro, but can be used for most other types of tea. They are made of steel, wrapped in traditional Japanese handmade wazome washi paper, and come with plastic inner lids. MADE IN JAPAN.

The following shows an example of a canister with its lid and inner lid. The canister is filled with 100g of light steamed sencha. These canisters will easily hold 100g of sencha or gyokuro. PLEASE NOTE: The canister in the image below is for indication purposes ONLY, the design might differ from the one in this listing and of course you will not receive it if it does, but the size, shape and inner lid are all identical:

How to fill the canister

When filling the canister DON"T just pour all of the tea leaves in at once. Please pour them in a little at a time and gently shake the tea canister to help compact the tea leaves better.
