All of our organic teas are packaged for us by our growers in small batches continuously throughout the year. They are all harvested, processed, packaged, and sealed by the growers in the prefectures stated in each of our tea listings. They are then sent directly to us from each grower which gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with fresh organic tea throughout the year! Located In Japan... Yuuki-Cha's current HQ is located in the southeast of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Having our whole operation here in Japan is really great for many reasons and enables us to get our customers, not only the highest quality organic green tea direct from the growers, but also as mentioned above, the freshest! In addition, having Japanese staff enables us to easily visit tea gardens and successfully negotiate with growers to bring our customers some of the best organic green teas in Japan. Furthermore, dealing directly with the farmers makes it possible for us to bypass Japan’s notorious middleman system which in turn keeps our tea prices competitive. More For The Love... It is a fact and common knowledge that non-organic green tea in Japan is sprayed numerous times throughout the year with various pesticide formulas, and is force grown with nitrogen-heavy chemical fertilizers. It's not the traditional way of making tea in Japan, and results in tea that is not only harmful to our bodies, but also to our environment, and of course it puts the purity and the quality of the tea into serious question. For these reason we will never stock non-organic Japanese green tea of any kind. High Quality... Buying low grade organic green tea and labeling it as 'premium' or 'high quality' is something we let other dubious vendors do.
