A fetching little maple leaf (momiji) Tokoname teapot made by Tokoname potter Houji. It has a beautiful green textured body and a handworked maple leaf design. Real maple leaves of slightly varying shapes and sizes are used to make the three leaf design. They are then removed leaving behind three maple leaf prints on the teapot. The handwork involved gives each kyusu a unique feel and an authentic look. Works well for all types of green teas. Very attractive!

I received it quickly, and after opening it, was in love with the green texture also present on the surface, along with the imprint of three uniquely different maple leaves. Perfect for my vision of creating an earthy but lush tea set. Well made, it balances perfectly on its handle, a sign of well balanced and masterful craftsmanship. It brews wonderful tea for yourself, or for you and a friend. I highly suggest that if you love the look, buy it.
