Yohen Tokoname Teapot

A Yohen Tokoname teapot by Gyokko. Yohen is a technique that causes color changes to occur when ceramic ware is fired in the kiln. Many Tokoname artists use this technique. The effect on this particular teapot is around the middle of the teapot's body. The bottom half reveals the beautiful shudei (brick colored clay). A Gyokko masterpeice!
