Matcha Whisks

THE MOST ESSENTIAL MATCHA UTENSIL IS A HANDCRAFTED MATCHA WHISK!

Matcha whisks, known as chasen in Japanese, are handcrafted from one piece of bamboo. The bamboo is usually 2cm-2.5cm thick and 9cm-12cm long. There are a vast array of bamboo matcha whisks on the market. The type of bamboo used to make a matcha whisk is often different, the most common being handcrafted from white bamboo. The amount of prongs also differs from whisk to whisk with the most common being 80, 100 or 120. To get the best results when making matcha we advise each customer to purchase a matcha whisk.
