Organic Karigane Genmaicha

This organic genmaicha, made by our farmer in Kyoto, comes with the addition of organic karigane! Karigane (not the same as lower quality stems called kuki) are the stems that are sorted during the processing of only first harvest high quality sencha and gyokuro. The karigane adds more depth and sweetness which gives this organic genmaicha a rather different edge. Once you start drinking this as a daily tea you are very likely to become hooked! A highly recommended daily Japanese green tea!

ORGANIC BROWN RICE:

All of our organic genmaicha contains brown rice that is organically cultivated in a safe, chemical free, organic environment in Nara, Japan as opposed to conventionally produced Japanese brown rice which is cultivated using a substantial amount of agricultural chemicals. We offer all of our organic genmaicha as a safe and healthy alternative to conventional genmaicha.
