This organic genmaicha, made by our farmer in Kyoto, includes both first harvest organic sencha and matcha. The inclusion of matcha, which is dusted over the brown rice and sencha, helps bring out a mellower flavor, heightens the health benefits, and produces greener infusions. A very healthy cup of tea, and another recommendable type of organic genmaicha!

ORGANIC BROWN RICE:

All of our organic genmaicha contains brown rice that is organically cultivated in a safe, chemical free, organic environment in Nara, Japan as opposed to conventionally produced Japanese brown rice which is cultivated using a substantial amount of agricultural chemicals. We offer all of our organic genmaicha as a safe and healthy alternative to conventional genmaicha.

I wanted to try a Genmaicha of high quality. I had never tried Sencha teas let alone a Genmaicha, but due to my chronic fatigue syndrome I drink Matcha everyday. Matcha being the whole leaf ground into powder is extremely helpful but a good Matcha is also very expensive. Well when I read that this tea includes a first harvest Sencha and Matcha I was very intrigued,I have also read that the brown rice adds a deeper flavor to this tea. First let me say I ordered other teas from companies in the states on the same day I ordered this tea, and this tea came in from Japan before I received anything from my own country! Now that is efficient. I was eager and opened my package immediately, right away I could tell from experience that this is a good grade matcha mixed in due to the color of the tea and the smell. When I brewed up the tea following very clear and detailed instructions that are included with the order, I smelled a wonderful smell the brown rice gives this tea a depth that others do not have and the taste is fabulous! am so happy I found this site. Even when I ordered the wrong thing at first I notified them before the shipment left and they corrected it and then the tea is truly a wonderful infusion of flavors. I HIGHLY recommend not only this Matcha Iri Genmaicha but also ordering from Yuuki-cha Teas. Thank You so much for this beautiful tea I will hopefully be back for more.
