Powdered sencha, not be confused with matcha, is one of Japan's healthiest green tea offerings. It is made from ground down sencha leaves, and is well known to be rich in antioxidants and full of nutrients including catechins, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, E, niacin, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene, potassium, manganese, zinc, copper, fiber and fluoride. Being ground down into fine powder form enables you to easily digest all of these nutrients. It can be used as a hot beverage, cold beverage (especially refreshing in the summertime), added to smoothie recipes, used in cooking or desserts such as bread, cookies, ice cream, cakes, puddings, lattes, yogurt, and just about anything else you can dream of. Also, in comparison to matcha it doesn't need a whisk to prepare it.
