Organic KabusechaHigh quality organic kabusecha green tea is grown in full sun until approximately 2-3 weeks prior to harvesting. The tea bushes are either covered by rolling out black sheets directly over the top of them, or by using a framework just above the tea bushes with the black sheets rolled out over the framework. The black sheets block around 50% of sunlight which helps bring out a sweet taste in the resulting tea, similar to that of gyokuro. You will find that organic kabusecha has elements of both gyokuro and sencha which makes for one fine cup of organic Japanese green tea. Certified organic, as always, by JAS!
