An excellent organic Kamairicha made from the superb Kanayamidori cultivar. Kanayamidori has a delightfully satisfying taste and aroma and offers some pretty specific characteristics that are particularly nice to explore and familiarize yourself with if you are a Japanese green tea lover.

The aspect of this organic Kamairicha that we tend to love the most is the dry leaf aroma, which over the course of the year, often develops into delightful sweet fruit-like aromas almost reminiscent of tropical fruits, a very nose friendly fragrance to say the least! Needless to say, some of these delightful dry leaf notes transfer to the infused tea giving this tea a slightly fruity taste. Along with a nice bright yellow liquor, and Kanayamidori's well-known sweet milky mouthfeel this tea offers a flavorsome cuppa that is very easy to enjoy!

Cultivar Information
Kanayamidori
Kanayamidori is an excellent cultivar that is a cross between S6, a systematic numbered cultivar, and Yabukita. It was originally planted in Kanaya in Shizuoka prefecture hence the name KANAYAmidori and gained registration in 1970. It is a slightly late budding cultivar being around 5 days later than Yabukita.
