A top-tier 100% handpicked ORGANIC matcha from a genuine traditional Oishita-Chaen in Uji, Kyoto. All leaves are plucked from samidori tea bushes (not to be confused with another cultivar Saemidori which is not the same). At this level and price you can really start to experience genuine high quality ORGANIC matcha that is vibrant, smooth, tasty, and outstanding in color. It can be enjoyed by all, from beginners to connoisseurs to those who practice tea ceremony. Preferably prepared as usucha, but the high quality nature of this matcha will allow you to prepare it as koicha, too. The quality of Tenkei Tori really does shine through!

Genuinely handpicked matcha is very rare! Most tea leaves for matcha are either scissor cut or machine harvested these days. However, our Tenkei Matcha is always 100% handpicked. Here you can see skilled pickers handpicking leaves for our Tenkei matcha at the tea gardens in May:

For the price this is one of the best Matchas I have tried. It is very sweet, smooth and creamy, and the fresh powder has a wonderful raspberryish aroma. More than suitable for koicha. I will definitely be back for more!

A superior matcha with a very smooth and creamy finish. I have tried a lot of varieties of matcha and this one truly is the best! Not a hint of bitterness. Once again thanks Yuuki-Cha for offering such an exceptional matcha. I also love the packaging, it keeps it super fresh!
