Healthy Green Tea - Organic & SafeSAFE & HEALTHY ORGANIC JAPANESE GREEN TEA!
It is only since the 1950-60's that the vast majority of Japanese tea farms turned to, and have relied upon, the use of chemical pesticides, fertilizers and chemical agents to produce their crops. Before that, Japan an island nation, produced only naturally grown green teas for hundreds of years. Of course, using agricultural chemicals to produce green tea has a vastly different outcome on the tea compared to ones that have been expertly grown naturally. The problems with this way of farming are obvious, but often ignored, it puts a heavy strain on the surrounding Japanese environment, creates lackluster soil composition, weakens tea bush root systems, makes tea bushes more prone to disease and pests, and most unfortunately it poses risks to both consumers and farmers alike. In contrast, we at Yuuki-Cha believe tea bushes grow best and produce the best tasting teas when they are expertly grown at altitude in mineral-rich soils that have been nourished with organic matter because it creates healthy living soil absolutely teeming with life where tea bushes can grow healthy and strong root systems that are less prone to disease, pests and frost damage. The organic growers we decide upon collaborating with are true experts at what they do, and unlike other green tea shops/merchants/manufacturers in Japan, our growers have nothing to hide, cover up, or fabricate about the safety and quality of their organic teas because their products are genuine! Most importantly we at Yuuki-Cha & the organic tea farmers we carefully select to work with are always focused on providing only the safest & healthiest teas to our customers! CHEMICALS & FERTILIZERS:
The truth is, Japan's mainstream farmers use agricultural chemicals the same as any other industrialized countries farmers. Conventional green tea farmers in Japan use an assortment of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides frequently throughout the year. Tea leaves are never washed before they are processed! Furthermore, chemical fertilizers are used to force feed the tea bushes providing extremely unbalanced nutrition and causing them severe stress. The unbalanced nutrition in the chemical fertilizers is taken up into the plant's water supply and is a proven cause of attracting more and more pest insects resulting in more and more applications of pesticides. In addition, chemical fertilizers also destroy and deplete the fragile microbiology that makes soil productive. |
