Blue Tsuru Washi Green Tea Canister

A tea canister wrapped with handmade wazome washi paper. The paper is decorated with beautiful Japanese cranes (Tsuru in Japanese), pine trees (Matsu in Japanese), and wisteria flowers (Fuji in Japanese).

These canisters are designed to hold 100g (3.53oz) of loose leaf tea such as sencha or gyokuro, but can be used for most other types of tea. Made of steel, wrapped in traditional Japanese handmade wazome washi paper, and comes with a plastic inner lid. MADE IN JAPAN.

The following shows an example of a canister with its lid and inner lid. The canister is filled with 100g of light steamed sencha. These canisters will easily hold 100g of sencha or gyokuro. PLEASE NOTE: The canister in the image below is for indication purposes ONLY, the design might differ from the one in this listing and of course you will not receive it if it does, but the size, shape and inner lid are all identical:



Filling The Canister

When filling the canister DO NOT attempt to pour a whole packet of tea leaves into the canister at once. Please carefully pour the tea leaves into the canister little by little making sure to gently tap or shake the canister as you do so to help to compact the leaves.
