Bizen Yaki is one of the oldest and true forms of Japanese pottery with a very long history and is known all over the world by ceramicists and tea drinkers alike. The unmistakable and aesthetic landscapes that form on the surface of Bizen ceramics, created during the firing, gives each piece its brilliant distinctive and alluring appearance. The Bizen pottery we select are sourced directly from the potters, are all authentic one-off pieces that can never be exactly reproduced, and are all made in the traditional manner in climbing kilns and wood-fired over a period of days. Firing of kilns only occurs 1-2 times a year, so pieces presented here are VERY LIMITED to say the least. NOTE: You get the exact piece you see in each listing!
