This handcrafted Mino-Yaki matcha bowl takes on the name shinsetsu. In Japanese, shinsetsu means new snow which has freshly fallen on the ground in winter. Each bowl has a white glaze which represents the freshly fallen snow, and a grey body which represents the coldness of winter. Handcrafted in the Mino area of Gifu prefecture which is famous for its Japanese pottery.
