This organic genmaicha, made by our farmer in Kyoto, is a blend of organically cultivated brown rice from Nara Prefecture and first harvest organic sencha, rather than cheaper bancha. It produces a smooth, mellow, yet tasty and refreshing cup of tea with a fresh toasty brown rice flavor. It's also lower in caffeine than many other loose leaf Japanese green teas.

All of our organic genmaicha contains brown rice that is organically cultivated in a safe, chemical free, organic environment in Nara, Japan as opposed to conventionally produced Japanese brown rice which is cultivated using a substantial amount of agricultural chemicals. We offer all of our organic genmaicha as a safe and healthy alternative to non-organic genmaicha.
