A rich savory tasting organic sencha from Kirishima in Kagoshima, Kyushu entitled “SHINME” which literally translates as “new buds”.

Only the very young buds at the tips of the tea bush branches are harvested once a year in Spring for this one. The buds at the tips posses an incredible natural savory element, but to bring out that taste the buds are deep steamed. This breaks the tender buds into very small fragmented pieces, so you will not find any intact leaf material at all in this organic sencha, but once you brew it up what you will find is one very delicious savory tasting deep steamed organic sencha.
