A Matsukawa Tokoname teapot by Gyokko. The design on the teapot resembles pine tree bark or in Japanese "Matsukawa". There are three vertical indentations on the teapots body giving the teapot an interesting and attractive shape. There are also a few areas that reveal the shudei (brick colored clay) which was the original color of the teapot before it was fired. A Gyokko masterpeice!
